GB/T 23868 – 2019 is the national standard of “Classification of Sporting Goods”. The main content is as follows:
1. Scope
It stipulates the classification of sporting goods and is applicable to products designed and manufactured for sports activities. It is not applicable to stadiums and sports fields.
2. Terms and Definitions
- Sporting Goods: Products used during sports education, competitive sports, and physical exercise processes.
- Rehabilitation Equipment: Equipment used for rehabilitation training after sports injuries.
3. Classification
- Sports Apparel: It includes competition sportswear and award – receiving sportswear.
- Sports Shoes: Special – purpose sports shoes that meet the requirements of specific sports.
- Sports Equipment: Sports equipment used in sports events, including competition equipment, referee equipment, etc.
- Fitness Equipment: It includes indoor fitness equipment and outdoor fitness equipment.
- Rehabilitation Equipment: Equipment used for rehabilitation training after sports injuries.
- Physical Fitness Monitoring Equipment: Equipment used to monitor relevant indicators such as physical functions.
- Sports Protective Equipment: Such as protective gear, helmets, etc.
- Others: Records and commemorative items of sports achievements, prizes; Publications such as books, magazines, audio – visual products, and online media closely related to sports activities.
4. Appendices
- Appendix A (Informative Appendix): Sports Events, which lists numerous sports events such as swimming, diving, archery, track and field, and their main equipment, competition equipment, referee equipment, and general – purpose sports equipment.
- Appendix B (Informative Appendix): Examples of Fitness Equipment.
